Hola amigos, me presento, mi nombre es Stefany, nací un 22 de Mayo en la ciudad de Valencia, Venezuela, soy la única hija hembra y la segunda de 3 hijos. A los 7 años de edad, nos mudamos a un pueblo llamado Chivacoa ubicado a unas 4 horas en otro estado, donde vive mi familia materna y en el cual resido actualmente.
Hello friends, I introduce myself, my name is Stefany, I was born on May 22 in the city of Valencia, Venezuela, I am the only female daughter and the second of 3 children. When I was 7 years old, we moved to a town called Chivacoa located about 4 hours away in another state, where my maternal family lives and where I currently reside.
Llegar a otro colegio y ser separada de los amigos que tenía en ese entonces fue quizás el cambio más extremo que tuve que enfrentar a tan temprana edad, pasé por la experiencia de ser "la chica nueva" que a todos les parecía diferente sólo por el hecho de tener un acento diferente, sin embargo, debo decir que me adapté muy bien, hice amigos rápidamente y cada día que pasaba hablaba más como ellos sin darme cuenta. Fui lo que dirían una estudiante destacada, siempre estuve en el llamado "cuadro de honor", y me gustaba eso ya que sentía que podía entender cualquier materia facilmente. Pero lo que me esperaba cuando fui a la universidad fue tremendo pues ahí sí que se me volteó el asunto.
Arriving at another school and being separated from the friends I had at that time was perhaps the most extreme change I had to face at such a young age. I went through the experience of being "the new girl" who seemed different to everyone just because I had a different accent, however, I must say that I adapted very well, I made friends quickly and every day that passed I spoke more like them without realizing it. I was what you would say a top student, I was always on the so-called "honor roll", and I liked that because I felt that I could understand any subject easily. But what was waiting for me when I went to the university was tremendous because there I really turned the tables.
Tenía 17 años y me mudé sola para otro estado, en la cuidad de Barquisimeto, apenas a 1 hora de distancia de mi casa. Me residencié en un apartamento para chicas donde eramos 5 estudiantes. Comencé la carrera en el año 2012 y lo que debió durar 5 años según el plan académico duró 7, ya que esta carrera desafió no sólo mis aptitudes intelectuales sino mis actitudes como persona, mi perseverancia, mi optimismo, hey y mi ego también, ya que ese "cuadro de honor" quedó en el olvido cuando en mi primer examen parcial obtuve un 05/25 puntos en mi nota, no podía creer que hubiese salido tan mal, entendí que la universidad era otro mundo y que debía poner todo mi empeño si quería llegar hasta el final.
I was 17 years old and I moved alone to another state, in the city of Barquisimeto, just 1 hour away from my house. I lived in an apartment for girls where we were 5 students. I started the career in 2012 and what should have lasted 5 years according to the academic plan lasted 7, since this career challenged not only my intellectual skills but my attitudes as a person, my perseverance, my optimism, hey and my ego too, since that "honor roll" was forgotten when in my first partial exam I got a 05/25 points in my grade, I could not believe that it had gone so badly, I understood that the university was another world and that I had to put all my effort if I wanted to get to the end.
En el camino unos se van y otros se quedan, ya que cada quien tiene diferentes talentos y avanza a su propio ritmo, así aprendí a reconocer la gran versatilidad de las personas que me rodeaban y comencé a sentirme orgullosa de haber conocido seres tan brillantes con los cuales formé una amistad increíble.
Along the way, some people leave and others stay, since everyone has different talents and advances at their own pace. This is how I learned to recognize the great versatility of the people around me and I began to feel proud of having met such brilliant beings with whom I formed an incredible friendship.
A pesar que hubo otros tropiezos en el camino, hoy, a mis 24 años, puedo decir con orgullo que soy Ingeniero Industrial de la UNEXPO, la mejor universidad de ingenieros de mi pais, recibiendo este título en noviembre del 2019.
Although there were other setbacks along the way, today, at the age of 24, I can proudly say that I am an Industrial Engineer from UNEXPO, the best engineering university in my country, receiving this degree in November 2019.
He trabajado desde joven en negocios familiares y de amigos para obtener un ingreso extra, el primero fue a mis 15 años de edad en la farmacia de una tía, 5 años después me cambié a la librería de otro tío, en días festivos ayudaba a una amiga a envolver obsequios en su tienda de regalos y el último fue en una tienda de cosméticos de una vecina. Todos estos trabajos me enseñaron a tratar con el público, lo que me ha hecho ser una persona atenta y servicial. Me desempeño actualmente como jefe de procesos en una empresa metalmecánica, donde lidero a un equipo de 5 personas y aunque es mi primer empleo profesional, me ha enseñado mucho acerca de la importancia y responsabilidad de tener un equipo a tu cargo y lo bonito de intercambiar conocimientos para darle solución a un evento que se esté presentando.
I have worked since I was young in family and friends businesses to get an extra income, the first one was at my 15 years old in an aunt's pharmacy, 5 years later I moved to another uncle's bookstore, on holidays I helped a friend to wrap gifts in her gift shop and the last one was in a neighbor's cosmetic shop. All these jobs taught me how to deal with the public, which has made me an attentive and helpful person. I am currently working as a process manager in a metalworking company, where I lead a team of 5 people and although it is my first professional job, it has taught me a lot about the importance and responsibility of having a team in charge and the beauty of exchanging knowledge to provide solutions to an event that is being presented.
Como hobbie me gustar mucho cocinar y me hace feliz que otros disfruten las comidas que preparo, también me gusta la música por lo cual siempre estuve en grupos de baile, sin embargo, ahora me introduje en la parte de la ejecución por eso me he inscrito recientemente en clases de canto y de piano. Otra cosa que me llama mucho la atención son los temas acerca de superación personal y lenguaje no verbal, pues me parece fascinante como puede cambiar nuestra manera de vivir al cambiar nuestra manera de pensar y de actuar.
As a hobby I like cooking a lot and it makes me happy that others enjoy the meals I prepare, I also like music so I was always in dance groups, however, now I got into the performance part so I have recently signed up for singing and piano lessons. Another thing that catches my attention is the topics about self-improvement and non-verbal language, because I find it fascinating how it can change our way of living by changing our way of thinking and acting.
Nunca he salido de mi país, pero siempre he querido viajar, vivir y trabajar en Europa, por lo cual me he propuesto aprender inglés para poder acceder a ofertas laborales en el exterior, aún me falta mucho por aprender, pero sé que en poco tiempo lo lograré.
I've never left my country, but I've always wanted to travel, live and work in Europe, so I set out to learn English so that I could access job offers abroad, I still have a lot to learn, but I know that in a short time I will succeed.
Algunas particularidades sobre mí son las siguientes: Mi animal favorito son los perros, color favorito el morado, adoro el café y el chocolate, me gustan los días lluviosos, amo la naturaleza, especialmente las playas y creo que un cielo nocturno lleno de estrellas es lo más hermoso que puedes ver antes de cerrar tus ojos.
Here are some facts about me: My favorite animal is dogs, my favorite color is purple, I love coffee and chocolate, I like rainy days, I love nature, especially beaches and I think a night sky full of stars is the most beautiful thing you can see before you close your eyes.
En esta comunidad me gustaría compartir con ustedes mis inventos en la cocina, también mis prácticas en inglés para que me ayuden a mejorarlo, curiosidades de la ingeniería y por qué no, también algunos de mis pensamientos con respecto a situaciones que he vivido y a la vida en general.
In this community I would like to share with you my inventions in the kitchen, also my practices in English to help me improve it, curiosities of engineering and why not, also some of my thoughts regarding situations I have lived and life in general.
