Bueno,
Dicen que no todo en la vida puede ser tema de trabajos y que también hay que dedicarle un espacio de tiempo a salir a recrearse para recargar las baterías y seguir adelante.
Últimamente soy muy creyente de lo antes dicho; incluso, no sé si una parte la he inventado con la excusa de, aunque sea una vez al mes, salir a compartir con mis amistades más cercanas. Aunque, últimamente, mi círculo social ha crecido, ustedes saben que uno es algo selectivo.
Es así como hace unas semanas decidimos tomarnos un día entero para salir a disfrutar luego de un compromiso que tuvimos en la escuela donde trabajamos (en este post hay puras personas con quienes trabajo) y aquí pasamos un rato agradable porque compartimos, bailamos, nos reímos de los cuentos de nuestros estudiantes y hasta se podría decir que nos desahogamos un poco.

They say that life isn't all about work and that you also need to set aside some time to go out and have fun, to recharge your batteries and keep moving forward.
Lately, I’ve really come to believe that; in fact, I’m not sure if I’ve partly made it up as an excuse to get out and spend time with my closest friends, even if it’s just once a month. Although my social circle has grown lately, you know we tend to be a bit selective.
That’s how, a few weeks ago, we decided to take a whole day off to go out and have fun after an event we had at the school where we work (this post features only people I work with), and we had a great time because we shared stories, danced, laughed at our students’ tales, and you could even say we let off some steam.
Luego de estar un rato cumpliendo con el compromiso de la escuela, salimos hacia una piscina donde se estaba celebrando el cumpleaños de la hija de una profe y aprovechamos esa gran oportunidad porque hace tiempo que de verdad queríamos meternos un buen rato en alguna piscina.
Aquí la pasamos bien, compartimos un rato, nadamos por la "gran" piscina, flotamos un rato y, prácticamente, estuvimos dentro hasta que ya nos tocaba irnos, con decir que no queríamos salirnos, pero ni para ir a comer.
After spending some time fulfilling our school obligations, we headed to a pool where a teacher’s daughter was celebrating her birthday, and we took advantage of that great opportunity because we’d really been wanting to spend some quality time in a pool for a while.
We had a great time there, spent some time together, swam in the “big” pool, floated around for a while, and basically stayed in the water until it was time to leave—we didn’t even want to get out, not even to go eat.
Cuando creíamos que ya nos íbamos para la casa, nos escribió una amiga para ir a dar una vuelta a una noche de chicas y no podíamos decir que no, porque andábamos buscando hacer actividades que nos distrajeran un rato y fue así como nos enviamos a un lugar llamado "El sistema" para bailar un rato.
Más tarde nos dio hambre, y salimos a buscar un lugar donde pudiésemos comer y a la vez seguir disfrutando, y así llegamos a un lugar llamado "chello" donde tenían música en vivo ese día, y allí estuvimos un buen rato disfrutando porque se levantó una chica a cantar y parecía a Diveana y nosotras asombradas por cómo se movía, cantaba y se expresaba, porque queríamos un poco de la confianza que tiene esa mujer.
Por otro lado, lo que pedimos fue unas pizzas sencillas, pero que son muy ricas porque son preparadas a leña y eso le sube el nivel a los sabores de los ingredientes y le da un toque muy distinto a otras pizzas que he probado.
Así que bueno, esto fue prácticamente un día de chicas que disfrutamos, reímos, gritamos y esperamos poder repetir nuevamente un encuentro así.
Just when we thought we were heading home, a friend texted us to go out for a girls' night out, and we couldn't say no—we'd been looking for something to take our minds off things for a while—so we headed to a place called “El Sistema” to dance for a bit.
Later we got hungry, so we went out to find a place where we could eat and keep having fun at the same time, and that’s how we ended up at a place called “Cello” where they had live music that day, and we stayed there for quite a while having a good time because a girl got up to sing and looked like Diveana, and we were amazed by how she moved, sang, and expressed herself—we wanted a little of that woman’s confidence.
As for what we ordered, we got some simple pizzas, but they were really delicious because they’re wood-fired, which really brings out the flavors of the ingredients and gives them a very different touch compared to other pizzas I’ve tried.
So, basically, this was a girls’ day out where we had fun, laughed, screamed, and hope to have another get-together like this again.
