Have you ever gotten up in the morning with a song stuck in your head? That's what happened to me today. Literally as soon as I got up Tom Petty was playing in my head "You got lucky babe". I'm not sure if God is trying to tell me something or my subconscious was reminding me about Three Tune Tuesday. Regardless, let's kick it off with an 80's classic and a futuristic video by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - You Got Lucky
Since we're hanging out in the 80's let's take a walk on the wild side with a Rebel Yell. Billy Idol was an icon of the decade. The dude exuded cool and his songs were the outlet for cool. He breached all the barriers between punk, goth, new wave & pop. I wanted to be Billy Idol when I was a kid, but children dream ridiculous dreams and here we are, 40 years into the future.
Shifting gears into the 90's we come to another icon, albeit one that would not make nice. If you were around in the early 90's when NIN Nine Inch Nails hit the scene it was like an explosion of rawness, fury and mechanical sounds. While Industrial music had been around for years, it wasn't until Trent Reznor came along that it became cool for everyone.

That's it for this weeks tunes. So, do you or did you wake up with a tune in your head?
Thanks for listening and big thanks to for introducing me to #TTT and
for dreaming it up.
