Hey fellow Steemians, I'm going to be heading down to Cancun, Mexico here shortly and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good places to eat, good day trips, or if anyone knows of anywhere to spend crypto down there?

The Trip

So this trip is kind of interesting. Initially my mom was trying to get our whole family to take a vacation together, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.

As you might expect getting 30 some people to agree on a date, destination, and price point was a challenge so that never came together. At that point I was kind of uninterested in taking a trip, but my mom really laid it on thick about how nice it would be for me and my girlfriend, my parents, and my sister, brother in law and nephew to all take a trip together. My sister moved out of state a few years ago and we all don't see each other that often anymore.

Well the vacation has changed once again, my sister apparently just found out she was pregnant, and with the Zica Virus apparently still present in Mexico she can't go on the trip so now my girlfriend and I get to go on a trip with my parents. Needless to say I'm not that excited lol.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound unappreciative. I know first world problem right, you gotta go on a beach vacation.

Nothing against my parents they are great people, but I havn't had a real vacation in about 3 years, and I tend to be pretty cheap so the idea of my likely one vacation this year being with just my parents and I wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Regardless though it should be a good time, gonna make the best of it, my girlfriend is a little less thrilled about it lol.

Normally Cancun wouldn't be my first pick for a destination, normally I like a place a bit more off the beaten path and less touristy, and normally I prefer staying at smaller cheaper hotels as opposed to big All Inclusives, but it will be my first time actually in Cancun, and the whole Yucatan Peninsula has a pretty good bus system, I've taken the bus all the way from Playa to Belize before so maybe my girlfriend and I will get some time to sneak away and go on some adventures.

Anyhow, if anyone has any good suggestions for restaurants or even just a place to spend crypto drop a comment and let me know.
