Hello there!
My name is Sabrina Palazzese and this is my first post to #introducemyself! I’m from Venezuela, if you haven’t heard from it, it’s a colorful and cheerful place. Caracas is the city I live in, and it’s what you see behind me in the picture below.
In here we have many different enviroments, such as beaches, deserts, jungles and mountains. Particularly, the Ávila (located in Caracas) and the Andes Mountain range are my favorites. As a teenager I decided I wanted to join the excursionist center from my school (CET) and once I did it I went into the most exciting adventures with my friends. We visited many peaks, among them, the chair of Caracas, located in the Ávila, the eastern and western peak, and my favorites, the Naiguatá peak in the Ávila and the Mucuñuque peak in the Andes Mountains.

At the Naiguatá Peak!
I've been loving science as far as my memory goes, and as a consequence, I ended up being a student of Physics at the Simón Bolívar University (USB). Since then I’ve been involving myself in different activities, such as being a member of the student center of Physics, teaching assistant at Didactron (interactive Science museum at USB) and a member of the Infocarreras, which . Most recently, my friends and I were selected as a Venezuelan team to participate for the first time in the 9th International Physicists’ Tournament (IPT), which took place in Gothemburg, Sweden.
Arady (Araguaney Dynamics) Team. This photo was taken at the hotel we were staying in Gothemburg.
Also, I'm currently working on my thesis project based on non centrosymmetric superconductors in the Low Temperature Laboratory at IVIC (Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research) which is a requirement to obtain a 5-year bachelor's degree in my university.
I would also like to introduce my dog Sukki! She's the funniest and craziest dog I've ever met. She will be part of many of my posts, so you will see her very often.
Hope you enjoyed my post!
Best regards to all of you!
