Well, what a year! I'll write more about my thoughts this past year for the #weekendengagement topic, but we made it. We made it. It was another wild one, and to be honest, I had no idea what December 31, 2021, was going to look like for me.
In keeping up with an annual Wisconsin tradition, I thought I'd splurge and make a bourbon Manhatten once more for New Year's Eve. It's a fairly easy cocktail; basically, it's bourbon :
Then some sweet vermouth:
And then some bitters to boot:
It's quite potent but good.
I know you all hate these call-outs, but I'm going to do it anyway. Thank you ,

, and all the others I've missed in this call out. All I can say is that in this crazy world of Hive, I appreciate so much all of your support. More importantly, I've appreciated getting to know all of you a little bit better too, in the process. It's the little things like this in life that matter, you know?
So Happy New Year to everyone, as I sit here on the couch, drinking this cocktail, and getting sentimental about everything this past year; here's to making 2022 our best year ever.
