You see, Astronauts have this super cool diet plan that I would say is almost more impressive than a rocket launch! They plan their meals really carefully to make sure they're getting all the important things their bodies need to stay super healthy (yeah they need to stay super healthy). Because, you know, they've got to be at their best while they're gravitating or should I say antigravitating (if there is any word like that) around in space.

Alright let drift the clock backwards just a little, you see, in the past, astronaut food was a bit like something from a space movie—thermostabilized and dehydrated foods that kind of thing. These were like meals that could last forever, needing a splash of water before they could be eaten. It's like making instant meals but with a cosmic twist right!?

But guess what? Things have gotten way cooler now! Astronauts don't just have meals that sound like they'd last forever. Nope, they've got a mix of different types of foods! Fresh ones, cold ones, ones that last long, and ones that are all dried up. From veggies and fruits to meats and even desserts, everything is packed up in special ways so they can survive in space.

As regard fresh food from mother nature itself, Thanks to special missions, astronauts get things like apples, lettuce, cucumba, grapes carrots and the likes. This is literally like a home right there in space with a little bit of more to eat to make you feel at home and probably better.

Still not done by the way, now, let's talk about the extra stuff they add to make food taste better. You know, like salt, pepper, and other tasty stuff. But guess what? These things come in a special form, not like what we use on Earth. They're in liquid or solid form because, you know, having bits of pepper floating around in zero gravity might be too much of a space adventure and your eyes would definitely not thank you for them

So, about their meals and stuff—these really smart people called nutritionists and space agencies plan everything. They make sure astronauts get just the right stuff they need to keep them super healthy. And water? That's a big deal too! They've got special water that's treated so they can drink it and also make their space meals.

But here's the coolest thing—future missions might have astronauts growing their own plants in space on a large scale, so help us mother nature! Imagine astronauts taking care of space plants or even growing space veggies not just on an experimental scale but on a large scale, OMG then we would definitely have space farmers.
