Stranded in this hellhole.
Ghostly faces coast past the bedroll.
Beneath notice lies your tin cup.
Brewing tea for no man.
Blame it on my government, blame it on the police.
Fleecing every one of us, never any release.
Now all that's left is this showpiece.
Lain immobile upon the concrete.
Taxed into the gutter, torn into a shred.
They even took the dog from my shed.
What's a man without a house? A friend? A wife? A fuckin' couch.
So here I lay, not worth a shit.
Is it time to rise up? clench a fist?
Vengeful wrath upon faces that dare to cough and spit.
Vile extortions upon the supine.
I just need some time.
Just one.. more.. day.
