Greetings!
Our experience in life as believers according to Bro. Eli is not about anything else but to test our faith in God and also our strength.
Aside from this, it serves as a training ground for us as believers. Like in my other write ups, we Christian are destined to face tribulations, but one thing is that Jesus Christ has overcome it.
Most of the poor in the 1st century were filled with the hope of heaven even when they were poor or were even dying of hunger.
Luke 6:20-21 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Here, Jesus Christ was telling us that the blessed are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of God, which means that despite their tribulations, they would still make heaven.
He further said that for those who weep because of one tribulation or the other, they are blessed and this is because they would still laugh no matter what.
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
The above scripture verse is a testament of what would become of those who suffer tribulations on earth.
In conclusion, Bro. Eli has made us know that we should not be deterred by the tribulations of this world as there's still hope for us to inherit the kingdom of God.
Thanks for reading.
