In the past, I have read this book more than once because of the valuable lessons within and how it can still be used in the world of today. Nothing will prepare you for the lessons you could learn and how you can make use of it in world of today. I came across the thought of manifestation and how it has been going on and on for a while now. People claim if you manifest something, then it will come to pass. But on the other hand I think it is a concept of the mindset. If you can believe it and conceive it, then you stand a good chance of achieving it. This brings me to my quote of the day from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
So here you have it. Welcome to another book review from me based on a quote from a book. Today's writing will be from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, and the quote says:
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
From the onset of the quote, it looks like a motivational quote that relates to inspire to perspire and more things like that. But technically it is not about motivation alone because the author stays as practical as possible. And that is the thing with Napoleon's writing. It becomes so practical down to the point where you could make use of it even in times like this. Here is what I am talking about, the book was written and released in 1937 and till this day, it remains useful. Making it a product of true value. When you think about the message, you come to understand that Napoleon Hills is talking about being able to achieve what you can conceive. It is not about the boundaries or the limitations but it is about you. What can you set for yourself? Where does the barriers come in for you? These are the kind of things you should be putting in consideration when making decisions for yourself. You can be the only stopping wall for yourself.
A good providence for the book is the fact that Napoleon spent a large amount of his time studying successful people like inventors, leaders and entrepreneurs in order to come up with his strategy for success. The author came up with findings that success begins first with the mindset. You have to believe such is achievable before the actions are taken towards attaining it. That is what makes the book more useful in the world of today. It is the fact that the skill of conceiving a particular notion is possible to accomplish first off in your mind, then you can attain it. This was a strong prerequisite for successful people back in the day when Napoleon first wrote the book. He could grab from his study on them that these are people with a huge understanding in the idea that what they want to achieve is very much possible. So they could just go ahead and work hard in doing so.
Have you ever wondered why high goal getters are delusionally optimistic, setting goals that seem unrealistically possible to achieve within their current bandwidth. This is because they are hacked into the system of grooming their minds into believing such is possible. Hence what they have to do is to go on and achieve. The limit we set are only man made, so we have to believe it is possible to achieve the impossible before it is done.
