It is not new that we are in a close run with Manchester City for the Premier League, even at this point many football fans have given up on us and our chances of getting the Premier League title or Champions League. What am I even saying? Some Arsenal fans have given up as well. I remember my conversation with a fellow Arsenal fan, and his response was Arsenal is more likely to drop more points compared to Manchester City. Well who can blame them for feeling this way? It was not been an easy one for Arsenal for a while. Either way, I am super impressed and proud for how far we have come as a team.

What this means for Arsenal at this stage in the Premier League is that every match at this point is very important. So our game against Newcastle was another one where we needed the win by all means. It was not an easy one as the opposing side put up a strong fight into making sure we do not win. To any other bystander, it was just a 1-0 win on the scoresheet but this was nothing like that. It made a way to my heart while watching. Newcastle cannot be written off when it comes to holding us off. After coming from a loss to Manchester City in the EFL Cup, this win would go a long way to our morale for the remaining matches especially against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Right from the get go of the match, it was not really any form of hesitation but the boys were all eager to get the win. You could see it from the very moment it was kick off, the boys were reeking of win. Nothing is more desperate than looking for a win by all means. You become a mad man who is on the loose and chasing the prey by all means. This is what Arsenal's boys were like during the game. This feeling will linger on them for a while until we win the league. Yeah, that's right I am positive that we will get the league title. What's the point of being a fan of the club if you do not believe in the team during times like this. At 9 minutes into the game Eberechi Eze blessed us with the first goal.
You would think there will be more goals to come in the match but that was not the case. The only goal was scored in 9 minutes of the game and that was all. After scoring the goal, there was a major setback in the midfield, which led to some setbacks for us and luckily none of Newcastle's attempts did not lead to any fruition. The pressure was getting to me at this point when all this was going on. Pacing around and looking at the slacks made me vicious to the core. It was battle of chances all through with more attempts coming in like one throwing a series of darts and hoping one sticks.
At 90 minutes, the game was over and I could take a breath of relief that we got the 3 points for the game which is very much needed in times like this. Let's keep our fingers crossed as we hope for more wins.
