What does it take to gain influence on steemit?
Hey everyone, I posted a similar question to the asaper's discord group yesterday, and I thought it migh be very useful to have this conversation right here on Steemit.
Why? Because, I believe it's so natural to have the desire to have people to see and appreciate your work. The more influence you have, the more "meaningful" your work can become.
But.. First off :) I'm just starting out to learn about Steemit and the "mechanics" behind it.... and ... the more I discover, the more I realise there is to learn.
It seems like an incredibly huge ocean, and at the moment it feels that "just blogging" is just not enough, to actually have an "impact" - meaning; to build a genuine readership and to have strong voting power to help others and eventually to make a little earning for your posts.
I love Steemit, because for me it's an ideal plattform to express my art, and perhaps touch a few hearts and connect to others - which is already more than I could wish for - compared to other Social Media platforms where the war of attention is escalating and people are buying views by boosting their own posts.
But after 3 weeks of being here, I have this clue:
To grow out of the "red-fish-zone" and actually become something bigger than a little plankton seems that you have to know a bit more about the whole system behind Steemit. :)
Then; Much is spoken about investors, upvote services and about people who purchase their Steem-power...
In short. A lot to consider, a lot to learn, but also a lot to get distracted and lose focus.
...and I'm just wondering what is your take on all this?
- How do you guys manage to do all this?
- What keeps you going?
- What are your motivations , your mindsets for mastery?
- How did you start out here?
- What's your take on the current situation of creating content and building yourself up on Steemit?
...and perhaps we can all learn a bit from each other.
Thanks for every (even the shortes and smallest) opinion already! I look forward to read.
Best wishes,
Sam
