My journey on steemit started lonely with just one person (me). in march 2017 i registered on steemit ,with little knowledge on how the platform works. I made lots of mistakes and after some weeks and months, my knowledge on how the system works grew and I thought to myself, "why don't I share this great knowledge to other people".?

so,I went to my cryptocurrency whatsapp group and Facebook wall and began to tell people about steemit, they were about 180 people in the whatsapp group then, and I had over 4300 Facebook friends.

After much talk and publicity, Hive account@tojukaka Hive account@evelyniroh Hive account@misterakpan contacted me to know more about this new social networking site I was talking about, they got registered and till today, they haven't stopped using steemit.

We decided to make our steemit community bigger , so we created a whatsapp group now known as steem bees. The group was created because myself Hive account@tojukaka and Hive account@evelyniroh were always floding the cryptocurrency whatsapp group with steemit links.

Steembees was created by Hive account@gilpeaz and headed by him and myself and from that group came lots of steemians like Hive account@japfive Hive account@ewuoso Hive account@sussan Hive account@evelyniroh etc.

The group grew so big and divided into several groups, steembees is now headed by Hive account@ewuoso Hive account@sussan Hive account@klynic and Hive account@amec and myself.

Steembees just couldn't take more people so I had to start steemit uyo community with Hive account@evelyniroh. In The first few weeks we were just 3, and the first steemit uyo meet up / Reachout was canceled because of the nation wide strike in Nigeria, details here .

Few months later, the next meet up was announced here, the team that helped me during that meet up was:

Steemit Uyo Community has massively grown and our growth got the attention of Hive account@ejemai and that attention gave birth to STEEM ACCELERATOR HUB (Hive account@stach), ** which is now 80% completed.

Thanks to Hive account@annieben Hive account@vwovwe Hive account@scarlet and Hive account@ishotz who have been working tirelessly to make sure the hub gets to completion way early before the expected completion date.

The hub will be available for steemians to use from Monday to Saturday, with free wifi and electricity.

The hub also has space for steemians who needs office space for the business and don't have enough money to rent an office . They will be required to use a section of the hub for 9 months untill they have enough money to pay for their own private office.

Steem is changing lives in uyo community and with the opening of these hub, we will change more live.
