What do you think about this as my first attempt at a digital 'cover' for the upcoming epic journey in which I will tell the life story of my father here on Steemit?
A man forgotten by history. And wrongly so, for he was responsible for the industrialisation of the Philippines after the 2nd World War, bringing wealth to a country desperately in need of it.
But as the most powerful & influential man in the country he became a threat to his home country America and after years of undercover U.S. surveillance he was illegally deported, robbed of his 17 corporations and never permitted to return. He battled against his own government for 40 years in the supreme courts to prove his innocence, yet he died penniless and unvindicated.
I look forward to telling you this story and welcome any information from anyone, but particularly those in the Philippine community may be able to give me a different perspective on his life.
