We've had a tree in our courtyard for a few weeks now but it wasn't until Sabrina's dad came to visit that we found the momentum to erect it. Men enjoy such challenges of course ;)
Here he is making some alterations, in order that it will fit in it's stand.
Banana trees still looking good as you can see.
Just give it one more whack...
Et voila!
Out come the boxes for all to explore.
Everyone excited about their own focus of attention in this moment ;)
So many years gone by already it is hard to tell one Christmas from another, but it is evident always at this time of year how we are all drawn inexplicably to creativity, which as you all know I am a big fan of.
The kids really enjoyed digging around in those boxes, finding creative things which represent a memory from exactly one year ago.
Even baby cat was having a good time, smelling the balls and checking if they were edible.
Luna was keen to put them up on her own of course.
While Esteban discovered that the cat enjoyed tinsel.
I took some time off at this point to do another module of my trading classes in my 'office' right at the back of the house, where (ideally) I am not disturbed. I am basically at school right now, learning to be an awesome trader. Will tell you more about my experiences with this in a dedicated post.
It's not a bad view from this part of the house and I don't mind being here at all. As long as everyone let's me get on with my work in peace ;)
Upon re-entering the other side of the house I found Sabrina getting creative with a wooden circle of twigs.
This glue gun has been such a great investment! Esteban & I use it a lot.
I don't include Sabrina on that list because if truth be told she is usually busy these days with her sewing machine, making clothes for us. And again, I will make a post about this specific subject in the future.
What I have noticed is that since she started sewing she has become much more confident with other creative exploits. No way she would have had the confidence to create something like this when we first met, back when she believed she was not creative. As you can see, I have been able to correct this untrue perception so many of us hold.
In fact, she is highly creative, like all of us.
Looks cool right? I personally would never have thought to create something like this, or to put it in this particular place. But that's the wonderful thing about creativity! We all do it in our own way.
Sabrina also made this garland for our front door.
Esteban showing how he 'smiles for the camera' here.
Above Sabrina's garland is the energetic dream-catcher I made last year. It holds the quartz crystal which was in my pocket throughout the first five years of my journey since leaving the UK.
While Sabrina was doing her thing, Esteban was doing his thing. In this case, a house for baby cat.
He even put a light and a baby christmas tree in there!
Both cats were sleeping on their beds when we entered the room with their new home.
Esteban was very excited when baby cat was keen to venture inside...
What a joy it is seeing their pleasure.
Luna sensed she was missing out on something fun and quickly joined us to see what it was.
Even for me there was something immensely pleasurable about seeing the baby cat in Esteban's box.
Home sweet home ;)
Love how excited everyone was in this moment.
Esteban created a little (paw sized) window for baby cat, having seen already how he loves to put his paw through small holes like this.
As you can see, all parties were very satisfied.
And apparently this new home is even edible!
So that's it I think.
Here are some undulatus asperatus I spotted today out of my office window.
I am (for want of a better word) a 'cloud spotter', having observed and photographed many different types over the years while shooting my timelapse photography.
This is one of my favourite types of cloud formation. Spotted many times over the last ten years.
HDR timelapsed once, in Bali 2016.
Mammatus are also up there on my list of favourite cloud formations and if any of you should ever something like this...
I would be grateful if you could send me a photo.
Yes, we all have our unique passions because that's how it goes with creativity.
We are all unimaginably unique!
Love & Light everyone 🎄
