This life would have been something else
Some photos are most treasured - they makes us energetic, brings in lot of positive energies. When ever you look at them, you feel excited - yes, I am going to share three photos that I carry always. The above photo is from our marriage - sixteen years back. This is the only photo that we have in binding at our home - so you can imagine what it represents. And this photo represents a special meaning - Applying the Sindoor on the lady's forehead for the first time in her life that will last till I am alive. Yes, if you do not know, then Sindoor or traditional Vermilion is red colored powder that represents a married women and is first applied by the husband on the wedding day. From that day she wears it herself daily, till the husband is alive. Whenever we see this photo, it takes us back to those days in time.
This is another most treasured photo of our life - with my son when he was eight months old. This photo was taken in a small Nokia phone. I had an Olympus camera then, and I have taken so many photos in that, but this beats all the photos - the expression, the feelings and what not. Everyday before going to office, he would not leave me and go for one round of walk with me - ya he would go and buy something - as we remember he would not even know what to buy but I would get him whatever he picks up and then the see off goes on for almost half hour. So almost a hour after we get out of our home till I finally leave. The lady clicked this one on my phone. He did not know anything about time but he would tell the lady to go to the parking area to welcome me when I would be coming back - waiting for me to give me a surprise - not once or twice or few times - it was his schedule everyday - he would never get bored nor I.
And then the third photo that is most valuable is with my daughter - when she was one year old. She was the darling of everyone in the house - usually that is the case with the youngest kid. There would be very few times, she would come and bother me - she used to stay in jolly mode always in her world (probably she is like this from beginning as you can see in this photo) and bother her brother only - yes, she never needed our attention. There was an occasion Prathamastami - on which the elder kid (my son) is worshiped wearing new clothes. We also brought new clothe for my daughter and this was the first time she weared a frock. So the lady wanted to take one photo with me and since then this is a treasured possession - none of her other photo with me matches this.
Without these three photos I cannot live - they are treasures of my life. This post was made in response to the WE91 Posting Challenge for this week. And as I said, here is the first photo framed that exist physically at our home - but they always travel with me - in my laptop. Whenever I buy a new laptop, these are the first things to port.
