During my last business trip to Tokyo, one of my coworkers invited me to take a little day trip to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It was to a place called Toshugo which is a shrine and burial place for Tokugawa Ieyasu who founded the shogunate that ruled over Japan for 250 years. It was serene and beautiful. My coworker told me that the monks who live on the property live off the donations and are responsible for the upkeep.
It was great to get away from the city for the day, and I was incredibly refreshed when getting back into the office on the following Monday.
