With some helpful guidance from @AustinHopper, I took the leap today and invested my first $100 into Steem! He first introduced me to the world of cryptocurrency 45 days ago when he bought a cryptocurrency miner and it very quickly became all we were talking about.
According to Forbes, only 5% to 7% of all cryptocurrency users are women, so I see this as a great opportunity to defy the stereotype. Steemit has been a natural way to break into the crypto world and is a great opportunity to learn more about the industry itself. This platform has made me more confident in my writing and in my own opinions, so a desire to invest in it came easily. I know $100 is actually pretty small on the grand scale, but good things can come from humble beginnings!
