Released as a Netflix Original Globally
I'm a huge fan of Japanese Anime and movies with survival, apocalyptic themes. To cut of the common talks about Steem, Witnesses and Cryptocurrency in general I felt about writing about this very good, but quite dark, movie.
I finally had time to see it a few days ago and as a subscriber of Netflix it was easy to see it as it's a Netflix Original release.

Base Story
Somewhere, in a distant past according to the people we now follow, the humans lost the genes required to control these machines by an infection. Without control the builders continued to build the cities, now unstoppable by the humans. The Safeguards that once guarded the humans in the cities against threats that did not poses the gene now turned against the citizens, forcing them into hiding in small groups wherever possible.
Hidden people and small villages
Caught by sensors sending Safeguards after the small group they get their escape routs blocked, only thing that now can save them are a mysterious person they meet up with; Killy the Wanderer, on his quest of the Net Terminal Gene.
We follow
Killy on his quest of finding the mythical Net Terminal Gene that the people lost ages ago. He's set to find the truth about it and how to restore the world to it's former state. He returns with the group to their village where he find something that help him in his quest and with help from Zuru they wander out in to the town in search for food for the village and Killys quest for the Net Terminal Gene. Battles are fought, lives are sacrificed and amazing things are revealed.
High Quality Movie
This is in my own opinion a very good movie; both story wise as in animation. Some sections in the movie are very intense and you never feel like you know what's going to happen next.
It's 106 minutes of very good movie
and it's one that I can highly recommend if you are in the mood for a darker themes movie in the form of an anime.
Enjoy!
