WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF STEEMCHURCH VENEZUELA @sc-v
Earth Day, International Mother Earth Day or World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd in order to raise awareness about the preservation of our planet Earth, designated by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its 80th plenary session held on April 22, 2009.
From our children's canteens we are promoting the "GREEN FOOTPRINT" campaign with the purpose of creating in our children the mor for the environment, the earth. Yesterday we shared a special day remembering the importance of taking care of the earth, what God has not delivered.
We have time for a change of mentality and habits to facilitate and improve the situation for future generations. Hundreds of examples that we know, and that we do not always put into practice, contribute to making the planet more sustainable and habitable. In fact, the best inheritance that we can leave to young people is a habitable planet, because the Earth does not belong to humans, but it is these that belong to the Earth.
With the theme of this year "End the contamination of plastics"
We set out to teach the children with recreational activities, plantings, and talk about the land.
We celebrate Earth Day to remember that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and provide us with the raw materials to survive.
This Earth Day focuses on recycling the plastic that fills and pollutes our oceans and habitats by killing thousands of animals each day. However, Earth Day is much more than that, and there are hundreds of ways to get involved. The call is still to recycle.
Recycling the lids and bringing them to the storage centers can do much for our land and for us.
We ourselves, and apart from joining the acts that are organized in all countries, we can celebrate Earth Day in an ecological way and in a particular way.
1.-Tell a friend to change from incandescent lamps to energy saving lamps.
Invite to plant a tree.
2.-Teach children to appreciate and care for nature. And about the importance of biodiversity.
3.- Play with children on the street. Take this day to teach them for example the importance of taking care of the environment but not from home, or from a computer.
4.- Tell that person who has thrown garbage in the street, pick it up and throw it in the garbage container.
5.-Recycle, and encourage our friends to do it too.
6.- Do you play any sport.
We have also contacted with NGOs that do important recycling works in Venezuela as "Come and Recycle Foundation" in order to unify works.
Nature is a spectacle that develops in front of man. Aristotle (philosopher and Greek scientist)
The main objectives are to provide a human context, motivate people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development and encourage cooperation so that the environment is sustainable, as this will ensure that all nations and people enjoy a future more prosperous and secure.
"If I knew that the world will end tomorrow, today I would still raise a tree."
