Good morning! This is a sunrise photograph of the famous Bonsai Rock on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. This sunrise wasn't as explosive as I had hoped for but the soft pastel colors came together beautifully to create this a look that I find calming even though the storm looks a bit ominous.
I used a Canon 5D SR for this one. The camera was on a tripod and a long exposure (ten seconds) was used to get the soft look to the splashing waves. A polarizing filter was also used to cut through the glare on the surface and really show off those Tahoe blues (and greens).
