Hail to the Hive!
There’s a feeling I get in Asian cites that’s kind of hard for me to put into words. I just love the chaos of it all, the disregard for any real rules of the roads and how it all just seems to still work just fine.
After a few weeks of visiting dive shops around east India and the Andaman Islands I finally got a couple of days to just aimlessly wander about. And boy oh boy was I aimless :)
I can happily spend days in cities doing this, drinking coffee, watching the world go about it’s day to day routine. So alien to me and so normal for everyone buzzing about in a hurry in every direction.
This is something I can really enjoy, taking the time to explore llaces on foot, take photos , buy random stuff and generally soak it all up.
Tropical Islands are lovely I’ll grant you but theres nothing auite like a dirty bustling Asian city to make you feel alive. And there’s never a shortage of olaces to sit down, have a coffee, beer or juice. Eateries almost on every street and life throbbing in every direction. I will never understand why people think they must avoid these places when they go traveling cos for me, this is the best bit.
It’s the real deal and not just a fake facade pretending to be something it’s not just for the tourists. This is the real everyday, day to day, daily grind of what really goes on and what is there to be experienced.
I’ll do an out and about post on Pondy later this week but I fancied a bit of street monochrome as it cries out for it.
Don’t ya think?
