∼∼ Soy Sauce Chicken With Potatoes ∼∼
Ingredients
Chicken Drumstick ∼ 1 piece
Potato ∼ 300g
Corn starch ∼ 1 tablespoon
Thick soy sauce ∼ 4 tablespoons
Light soy sauce ∼ 2 tablespoons
Salt ∼ 1 teaspoon
Shaoxing Wine ∼ 2 teaspoons
Garlic ∼ 20g
Olive oil ∼ 2 tablespoons
Preparation of Ingredients
Wash the chicken drumstick and cut it into few pieces. The size is up to you, if you cut it into bigger size then you take a longer time to cook it. If you are rushing of time, it is better to cut into a smaller size.
In a bowl, add in 50ml of water, corn starch, ½ teaspoon of salt and shaoxing wine, mix well.
Put those chicken pieces into the bowl, mix well and marinate it for 10-20 minutes.
Peeled off the potato skin, wash and cut in desired size. If you cut it into bigger size then you take a longer time to cook it. If you are rushing of time, it is better to cut it into a smaller size.
Chop the garlic into minced garlic.
Cooking Steps
Heat in the olive oil into a heat work under medium heat. Add in ½ teaspoon of salt.
Add in the potato pieces and fry it for 5 minutes, then take it out.
Add in the garlic into the wok and fry it until golden yellow color.
Then, add in the chicken without the corn starch mixture. Stir fry for one minute.l
Add in the potato, and stir fry for one minute.
Pour in half a cup water, thick soy sauce and light soy sauce. Close the wok with wok lid and continue cooking under medium heat.
After 10 minutes, open the wok lid and try the taste. If the taste is suit you, then can off the heat directly. May add some more light soy sauce or thick soy sauce if needed.
The soy sauce chicken with potatoes is ready to serve.
