[Seany's Daily Shenanigans] Spring has arrived! .......or has it?

So Spring has arrived! Around 20/3 and 21/3 should be considered the first day of Spring! It's hard for me to really know because living in Singapore for so many years, there is only 1 season - Tropical Summer.

So a Google search of this season would Spring up some results. And in your mind you would be thinking and picturing, nice weather, flowers, colour all around. So that imagery should probably be in everyones' minds when thinking of the word Spring.

So this is Spring in Mikkeli, Finland.

Wait. Whaaaaaaat?

Everywhere is whiter and snowier than ever!
I think it's quite apt to use the Expectation vs Reality meme now. But don't get me wrong, I really like winter, and snow everywhere, and this is really just an exaggeration. True Spring doesn't come till much later. But I think there has been a similar trend throughout the world this time. Cold places seem to be much colder and for much longer, and warm places seem to be warmer. I saw a video of snow in japan by my friend. Yes! Even at this time of the year, there is snow in Japan! So it's quite an anomaly this time round.

I wrote a few days ago that I did not reach Mikkeli early enough to experience the -28 degrees celsius temperature. But yesterday, it reached a low of -22! It was indeed quite chilly. I had to wear an extra layer just in case.

I still think it's really beautiful, and I'm really happy I got to see such an extended white sight throughout March. I have plans to visit Helsinki and the famous Lapland area in early April, so I will make a post on that very soon! Please look forward to my post!
