Hey !
I've got the chance to live in Ho Chi Minh City for a month and experience the local life, let me share my experience !
Commonly known as Saigon or HCMC, it's a busy city from the south of Vietnam. It's chaotic, but there is charm in the chaos.
District 1: the touristic area
Starting the day with a damn fine coffee.
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica.
At its right, the Central Post Office.
Close by, heading to the book street "Nguyen Van Binh".
A heaven of peace in this bustling city.
Nearby, the Independence Palace.
Are you starving? Just find a small alley, you'll find the most authentic food (and delicious) in town !
"The pho": a classic and must-try dish !
The "Huyen Sy" church in Pham Ngu Lao area.
Meeting the crowd at the backpacker area. Packed of pubs, bars and clubs, or basically loud music.
District 2: the expat area
Not really specific to Saigon but the whole Vietnam, still notable for its simple moments that makes life enjoyable.
Some more awesome "ca phe" ! You'll find different kind of them, hot or iced, with fresh milk, condensed milk, yoghurt or even egg, always accompagned with a cool jasmine tea (hot black and milk coffee in this picture).
A real food porn, insanely delicious and often with sweet flavors. Please be advised you'll get few pounds !!
That's it ! I hope you enjoyed discovering Saigon through my eyes !
