First of all, Congratulations to my nephew 
High school will always be an important time of anyone's life. It's a journey of self-discovery and self-expression. It's also when they need the guidance the most. The moment when we have to remind them of things, guide them how to deal with something or even do something. They are turning into a young adult, still so young to take on a lot of responsibility, needing constant reminder what are the right and wrongs.
As one of his guardian while his mom works abroad, I am the one who accompanied him in the ceremony. The excitement of hitting a milestone, but the little sadness of not seeing most of his friends as they are pursuing different strands is evident on each of their faces.
Seeing them being so carefree, exchanging banters, saying how they will miss each other and wishing each other the best is so heartwarming to see.
Soon, it was time to say goodbye.
