Well it's been almost two months since I started to meditate on a regular basis. I don't practice every day but close to it. My brother passed on to me an app he uses he thought I would like. He was right, and like I've said before, this smart phone technology that is
always attached to most of us can do some good too!
I mean using an app for guided meditation is working for me! I typically wake up around 6 in the morning and that is the first thing I do, even on work days I'll wake up 15 minutes earlier to practice mindfulness. Lately it's a whole different story because we got ourselves a puppy! But I'm back at it after a few days and I feel great.
I am able to think about meditation through the day from time to time and I can remember to take a moment to observe and even look for the observer sometimes. I mean it really is just sometimes, but when I do remember it is calming and very grounding.
It really helps, I feel more in tune with my decision making process, my thoughts seem slightly more clear, and I'm able to envision my dream for the homestead a whole lot better.
If you're thinking of meditation as something intimidating, you don't know where to start or you're can't make out why it would be good for you try some sort of short guided sessions. The key is to keep at it long enough that it will not seem so difficult anymore... It's like everything else in life, the more you practice the better you become!
