One of the most popular appetizers is the delicious famous egg roll.
1/2 pound boneless chicken cut into thin strips (uncooked & I prefer organic)
1/2 cup mushrooms cut in strips
2 1/2 cups bean sprouts
1/2 cup bamboo shoots in strips
2 cups spinach cut in strips
1 scallion chopped finely
Sauce:
2 Tablespoons soy sauce (coconut aminos excellent gluten free option)
1 Tablespoon sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon accent
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoon peanut oil for frying
Directions:
Heat frying pan and add oil.
Fry onion to light golden
Add chicken and fry for a few minutes.
Add sauce and the rest of the ingredients.
Mix thoroughly and fry for a couple of minutes.
Put 1 Tablespoon of filling in the middle of each egg roll skin square and roll into the shape of a sausage. Fold in ends, sealing with water.
Add 2 inches of peanut oil to a pan for deep frying. Heat to 360 degrees.
Fry rolls to golden brown.
Lift and drain on paper towels
