PREGUNTAS AL VETERINARIO/ ASKING TO THE VETERINARIAN
¡Comienzo nueva sección en mi muro! A partir de ahora además del post semanal sobre un tema acerca de la salud de vuestras mascotas, haré post más cortitos aclarando las diversas dudas que veo que se os presentan a los propietarios cuando venís a las consultas veterinarias. O aquellas que si queréis me podéis ir dejando en los comentarios.
Como no, seguiré publicando las fotos que vaya haciendo en mis excursiones por los pirineos y comentando los comics y libros que vaya leyendo.
Today starts a new section in my blog! I will ask some questions that owners of pets usually ask to me in the veterinary hospital. It will be shorter posts to explain specifically the main question selected for the week.
Of course I will continue writing longer posts about pets´ diseases once per week, commenting the books I have read and posting photos of my hiking trips around the mountains.

LA PREGUNTA DE HOY ES: / THE QUESTION FOR TODAY IS:
¿CADA CUANTO DEBO BAÑAR A MI PERRO? / HOW OFTEN MY DOG SHOULD HAVE A BATH?
Lo ideal es bañar al perro como mucho una vez al mes, ya que si lo hacemos con más frecuencia dañaremos su capa sebácea, y podremos provocarle alteraciones dérmicas como la seborrea. Es muy importante utilizar champús aptos para perros, y no los que utilizamos las personas, ya que el PH de su piel es distinto al nuestro, además los jabones que nosotros utilizamos están muy aromatizados, lo cual puede perjudicar su olfato.
En determinadas ocasiones por diferentes razones vuestro veterinario puede aconsejaros baños con más frecuencia normalmente para tratar algún problema dermatológico pero lo haréis con champús específicos que el os recetará.
Obviamente si vuestro perro es un marrano y se os ensucia más que el palo de un gallinero (a ver como traduzco yo esto al inglés…) lo mejor será que lo bañéis con más frecuencia. ¡Ante todo sentido común!
You should bath your dog once per month, but not more, because if you bath your dog with more frequency you´ll probably destroy his skin´s sebaceous film, which protect him to dermatological diseases.
Owners of dogs or cats, always have to use specific shampoo for dogs or cats because the PH it is different of humans shampoo and they could hurt his skin.
Sometimes, your vet will recommend that you bath your pet more than one per month even more than once per week, surely it will be because your dog has a skin disease; and He needs topic treatment.
If your dog is very dirty because he loves wallow in the puddles, obviously you will have to bath him with more frequency! First of all common sense.
