Hello?? I am who lives in Korea.
This is the 37th introduction to Korean food, and today I will introduce Tteokbokki / Topokki.
I think it will be hard for you to pronounce it. I will write it as Topokki.
The current Topokki is made by using kochujang as a basic material as shown in the figure below. So it is probably a lot spicy for you to eat.

However, it is recommended if you like spicy flavor.
Topokki is made with Garae-Ttoek (a kind of rice cake) and various vegetables.
Garae-Ttoek is shown below. Koreans cut it with a knife when they put it in Topokki.

Originally, Topokki was made from soy sauce in the royal family. Instead of kochujang, soy sauce will be available for you to enjoy.

So, if you come to Korea and choose Topokki, please take a good look at whether Topokki is made into red pepper paste or soy sauce.
