Over the weekend, I hit two significant milestones in my Steemit journey with one being more important to me than the other. For about six months now, I have tried to get my father to join and post on Steemit. I created an account for him () a few weeks back. He got his name thanks to
after we shot a Menē unboxing video. This past weekend, we shot a video for his introductory post! It the best video I have ever seen! It is full of comedy, raunchiness, and wisdom. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should do so now! My father has been a mentor to me and has given me most of the street smarts I have acquired in my life. View the video here.
On other social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook) I am a participant, albeit mostly a silent one, my follower count is not near what it is on Steemit. I cannot believe I have hit 2000 followers. I’m hoping that I have been able to make a positive impact on my followers lives. My total post count is over 6,700 and Twitter is the only social media outlet where I have posted more than I have done on Steemit. I joined Steemit in March of 2017 and have tried to be active here daily. Some days I am able to crank out multiple posts, while other days I am lucky to crank out one. The #SteemSilverGold has been an excellent place to meet stackers. Before Steemit, I knew a whole 5 people who invested in precious metals. Now, that list has ballooned to over 100 people that I can personally reach out to, if I have a question about the metals.
Growing up I was more shy than I am now. Nowadays, I will do just about anything to promote my brand or others! Over the last year I have made videos about:
- eating ghost peppers and Trinidad scorpion peppers, some of the hottest peppers in the world.
- unboxing of multiple Menē gifts
- vacations my family or I have been on.
- singing karaoke for my brother from another mother,
.
Thank you to everyone that has followed me and a special thank you to those who engage with me regularly. wrote a lengthy post about me this past weekend and it was arguably the kindest thing I have ever received from someone. You can read the entire post here.I hope my girlfriend does not see this! This got me to thinking about doing a follower appreciation post weekly of those I have built up a special bond with over the last year. There are many people on here that I would love to meet in person and I hope I can do so eventually! Maybe we can have a #SteemSilverGoldFest meetup eventually! How sweet would that be!! I mean we are all over the world, but it would be incredible if we were able to pull it off!
