Ang hinahanap hanap ng lahat tuwing may okasyon! (Especially sought by everyone during every occasion!) The lechon with its crispy skin and soft juicy flesh - cooked filipino style is popular dish that even foreigners have grown a fond of.
A Symbol of Rich Culture and Tradition
There are festivities celebrating lechon as a tradition of rich cultural values like the Parade of Roasted Pigs in the Balayan Festival of Batangas, Philippines.
The main reason of its great popularity locally and even abroad is because of its versatility. Lechon can be combined with all kinds of ingredients and is present in every ocassion (fiesta, birthday, christmas, new year, etc).The most delicious part of the lechon is the crispy skin as well as the meat that is juicy and oozing with flavors. It taste even better when dipped in a liver gravy sauce or sukang pinakurat (spicy vinegar).
