Once upon a time, in a certain kingdom, there was a king who loved to stay clean and tidy. But back then, there were no fragrant soaps like today. People only tried to clean their bodies with water or mud. The king thought, "Is there something that can be made, so that by washing the body with it, all the dirt will vanish in an instant and a pleasant scent will come from the body?"
The king summoned the wisest scientist of his kingdom. The scientist then worked day and night to conduct experiments. One day, while walking through the forest, the scientist noticed some wood ash and the fat or oil of wild animals mixed together by the river, forming a strange foam. He washed his hands with that foam and found that all the oily dirt on his hands had magically become clean!
The scientist quickly returned to his laboratory. He mixed the fat and alkaline ash with water and brought it to a boil. Then he cooled that mixture and solidified it. Voilà! The world's first soap was created!
When the scientist brought this soap to the king’s court, the king was astonished! He was so happy after bathing with the soap that he rewarded the scientist with a bag of gold coins. The king declared, "From today, everyone in the kingdom will use this to stay healthy and clean."
The moral of the story is that soap removes the dirt and germs around us and keeps us healthy. Therefore, it is very important to use soap before eating and after returning from outside.
