There aren't many articles that focus on low budget modern watches. Most watchlovers write about exclusive timepieces like Rolex, Cartier, Breitling etc.. In my opinion a watch shouldn't be expensive to look good. The most important aspect about a watch is that you feel confident while wearing it. Besides that, a watch should be comfortable and durable. Over the years I have collected many watches from different price ranges. I'd like to share my top 3 budget watches:
#3 Mondaine Evo Steel Band ($250)
A simple design which looks great while wearing a suit or casual clothing. The classic dial is very easy to read finished with the distinctive Mondaine red seconds hand.
#2 Seiko 5 Black Dial Automatic ($60)
A reliable watch with a timeless design. But be warned, buying new straps for this watch is very addictive. I honestly cannot believe this automatic only costs 60 bucks!
#1 Sea-gull M172s ($170)
This mechanical timepiece with an open hearted flywheel looks exquisite! Don't be fooled by it's Chinese origin, the build quality is top notch. Besides that, the attention to detail on this timepiece is astonishing. When buying this watch you should watch out for replicas. Scammers are aware of it's popularity.
