In our country, at present, per kg of local onion is being sold at an average of 200 takes. But its normal price is 40 rupees per kg.
The situation is such that most lower-class families are forced to continue the asana without this essential cooking ingredient. The price of everything is increasing here along with the onion. Even in peak season, winter vegetables are out of reach due to high prices.
The economies of our neighbors India and China are also in grinding condition due to rising food prices. Such a picture is visible in many emerging markets of the world. Food prices are increasing very rapidly. These countries are now under potential pressure of high inflation. As a result, ordinary people are now struggling to meet one of the basic needs of survival.

On the other hand, food prices are rising in Turkey and Nigeria due to supply problems. The poor are suffering the most from this increase in food prices. But even then, many economists feel that the situation has not arisen to pull the reins on the monetary policy.
