While most artists tend to gravitate and focus on one type of medium, I unfortunately lack the ability to focus on one specific discipline in order to master it. Sometimes the type of medium will dictate how I portray an image I tend to mull around in my mind for days on end before even placing pencil (or paint) to paper. While I had mentioned I have been doing a lot of watercolor studies in prior blog entries, I sometimes crave the feeling of the charcoal rubbing against the rough grain of paper, or in this case I just simply placed this particular sketch in my regular sketch book.
I have been sad, I suppose, as well as emotionally and physically exhausted. I suppose I am trying to convey that visually and somehow work out those negative feelings so I can regain some passion in normal everyday life. There are some visuals that develop a lot slower than others.
