Our all time favorite snack is Banana spring roll, A common and delicious snack in the Philippines, you can see it everywhere back home, A favorite of many. Oftentimes it is sold as street food or sold by a peddler. So simple to do and require only a few ingredients to make this delectable dish.
Ingredients
Banana plantain (Saba Banana)
Brown sugar
Spring Roll wrapper
Water, for sealing the end
Flour, optional
Oil for frying
Slice the Banana plantain in half.
Sprinkle with brown sugar on both sides.
Place the spring roll wrapper in a diagonal shape and place the banana in the middle.
Roll the wrapper and fold both sides then roll again.
Seal the end with water and it’s ready to fry.
Sprinkle some flour to avoid them sticking to each other.
Fry until golden brown.
Serve warm with coffee or tea. Enjoy!
You can also add fillings together with the banana such as jackfruit or sweet potato for more flavor. Crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside. Just Delicious!
