I am currently in my homeland, Philippines. We are here for vacation and to attend the wedding of my sister. We are all very excited! Some of my relatives are already here and a lot more to come tomorrow (Yes, We are quite a big family).
It would be like a mini reunion for us. How fantastic is that!
I’m sure it will be lots of laughing and catching up. I'm not sure how we will accommodate all of them, we have only four rooms.
I will not go for the details yet for the wedding for now because that’s for another post, so tune in.
It's nice to meet them opposite to the cathedral
So Later today I went to the market for a walk, And you know how I feel? I feel at home, a sense of belongingness in this place, My beloved hometown.
The familiar scenery, the smell of the rain, the smiles and the warm and comfort of your people. It was an incredible feeling. I was contemplating with myself and realize how life is much simpler here compared to UAE.
I love being here:)
I realize how the UAE as a hub of commercialism spoiled us with a lot of fancy and sometimes unnecessary things.
It humbles me to think that I am home. I feel grounded. I have been yearning for the familiar feelings of being "home" for such a long time. The simplicity of beauty of life.
I am so glad to share a picture of a walk in my beloved home.
I passed by a hundred year old Saint Fabian Church
A Public market which transform dramatically over years
It was raining now and I find it nice and fun, especially if you are coming from the country where it seldomly rains. And when it rains, It pours just like in this photo.
A Pedicab (The one in the left) - It's a common mode of transport for short distance. Ecologically and economically cool.
It’s silly to say But I enjoyed walking in the flood. I know it’s dirty but i don’t mind, It brings lots of memories of my childhood and it’s really sweet.
Nice life....
Cheers!
