So many people are carrying wounds from the past emotionally, physically, through maltreatment, betrayal, or abuse. The painful part is that most times, the hurt came from people they loved and trusted deeply.They might be friends, close relatives,and even neighbours.
And truthfully it hurts a lot, not always easy to let it slide, letting go is not easy at all. Some scars stay in the mind for years. Some memories replay when you least expect them. We are all humans with the ability to recall memories. Some pain changes how you see people and even yourself.
But one thing is certain: holding onto that pain for too long causes more harm than good. Bitterness, anger, and unresolved hurt slowly drain your peace, your happiness, and sometimes even your ability to move forward in life. And it leaves you with depression and trauma.
Healing does not mean pretending nothing happened. It does not mean the pain was acceptable. It simply means choosing not to allow what happened to control your life forever.
Take your healing one step at a time. Be patient with yourself. Some days will be easier than others, but every little effort toward peace matters.
You deserve healing.
You deserve peace
You deserve happiness .
And you deserve a life that is not controlled by past pain.
