That purrfect gray puff is my little girl GG, she's a Russian Blue! My husband and I adopted GG while living in Ohio and have been her proud guardians for a little over 5 years. Our sweet girl was declawed by her previous owner, its because of this that she has a lot of trust issues and has trouble expressing her emotions. GG's story may have started off on a bad page, but I can promise you that shes now living her best life with lots of love and kindness. You might be wondering what GG stands for... any guesses? GG stands for "Good Girl" its also a nod to a phrase we say after competitive games, "Good game!". Would you believe that her old name was Allie! Below are some fun facts about Russian Blue cats, they really are a one of a kind breed.
In Russian folklore Russian Blue cats were thought to be a good luck charm.
A Russian Blue inspired the much beloved Nyan cat!
Russian Blues are shy, but loving cats.
The Russian Blue gets its hue from a unique gene!
Russian Blues love their families, but rarely interact with strangers visiting.
Smile! Russian Blues have a naturally upturned mouth that gives them a smiling appearance.
