My rooftop garden is a unique refuge for finding a piece of green tranquility amidst the urban hustle and bustle. Every morning when I stand on the rooftop, the green leaves and fresh air around me instantly remove the fatigue of the whole day. The joy of planting seeds in the ground with my own hands and growing a seedling with water is different. My small rooftop garden now has various types of plants, which have transformed the entire rooftop into a small forest.
And where there is such a fair of green leaves, what if nature's little friends don't come? My garden is always full of various insects. Especially different species of flies and various small winged insects always roam here. Many people may avoid these small creatures with ordinary eyes, but I find their lifestyle very interesting. It is difficult to believe how perfectly nature has created these small creatures without seeing them up close.
I really like capturing these tiny forms of nature in the camera lens. Along with gardening, macro photography has now become one of my biggest hobbies. When a fly sits calmly on a leaf, or an insect hides behind a branch, it is fun to patiently take pictures of them from the right angle. When the shapes of these colorful insects stand out beautifully in the camera frame between the veins of the leaf, a strange feeling of well-being works in the mind. These pictures I have taken are not just some stills, they are stories of the living moments of my garden.
The biggest attraction of my rooftop garden at the moment is a sweet pumpkin tree. Very recently, this tree has started spreading its branches on the soil of the tub. It is quite wonderful to see the way its creeping tips are gripping the surroundings little by little every day. The tree is quite healthy and its big green leaves have added to the beauty of the entire garden.
I am very optimistic about the current growth and freshness of the tree. Hopefully, in a few days, the tree will bloom with beautiful yellow flowers, which will invite more bees and butterflies to the garden. And after that, maybe we will get fresh, completely poison-free and organic sweet pumpkins from this tree. I am now eagerly waiting for the feeling of eating fresh vegetables from my own roof. This beautiful change of nature and the new appearance of each day are constantly making my roof garden more magical.
