Dear Community,
a few weeks ago I posted an article at Steemit called: Please help Crowdfunding a unique Documentary about Damo Suzuki.
Energy: A Documentary about Damo Suzuki
The film will be called "Energy" and in my blogpost I basically asked the Steemit-community to support the Indiegogo campaign to fund the postproduction of an independent documentary film about Damo Suzuki, who is probably best known as the former lead singer of the German krautrock group Can.

Please support the postproduction of a feature documentary about one of the most interesting musicians of the "Krautrock" era, Damo Suzuki, as he fights cancer to continue his never-ending tour. You can do so by visiting the projects Indiegogo page or by simply upvoting this post.
After I shared the link to my post at twitter, I received the following thank-you tweet:
> $90 collected
As you can see in the following screenshot, I was able to collect more than $90 with my post, thanks to your generous upvotes.
And spent at Indiegogo
Although the final payout was a bit lower (because of the curation rewards), I went to the Indiegogo page and bought "The Works" perk for £80 GBP (about $110 US).
THE WORKS
A set of Energy limited edition rewards, including: - 1 x limited edition badge - 1 x limited edition tote bag - 1 x limited edition t-shirt - 1 x limited edition signed & numbered photoprint (We will contact you to confirm t-shirt size)
I cannot exactly remember, why the website showed £90 instead of £80 (maybe because it adds the shipping costs), but as you can see, I mentioned the "Steemit Community" as the name of the supporter.
Spreading the word at Twitter
After that, I tweeted about my contribution:
Reaction
And received the following tweets by @energythefilm:
Video Shoutout
Shortly after Michelle Heighway, the director of the documentary, published a short video update at the Indiegogo page, in which she mentioned Steemit and my efforts to support the film:
Crowdfunding Update - Energy A Documentary About Damo Suzuki from Michelle Heighway on Vimeo.
As the sound level is a bit low, I transcribed the respective part. It starts at about 1:30 min.
I just wanna say thank you so much! It’s been 20 days now and I’ve not done any video update, so I just want to say hi and that I really appreciate everybody’s help so much.
And I’d also like to thank you to - his name is shortcut on twitter. He did also a really lovely blog last week and manged to raise £80 Pounds through a platform called Steemit, which enables people to put comments and then they can pay like a certain amount of money and he collected all of that and then purchased some cool T-shirts and totebags etc., which is really cool.
Wow!
I never expected to get such a great feedback. So I thanked Michelle and her production company by sharing the video update on twitter.
Just a few days to go
Currently there are 57% of the required £20,000 funded with the campaign ending on June 20th. As I certainly would love to see this documentary happen, I will use all the rewards of this update post again to support the project. (As the payout of this post will be after the end of the campaign, I will spend the money, the post will make after 6 days.)
It's a real win-win situation, as your upvote will help to proove the real world impact of Steemit and spread the word about this through Twitter and beyond.
If you haven't already, you could also go to the Indiegogo page and buy a perk for yourself.
Please help make it happen!

For example you could get the digital download of the finished documentary for £10 or buy some fancy vinyls of Damo for £65 GBP.
Thanks a lot in advance for your votes and resteems!
