This is inspired by the not so recent fall from grace of famous YouTuber...
Hopefully, enough time has passed to say this without seeming insensitive..
The not so recent, but very public fall from Grace of a Famous Cryptocurrency YouTuber, was sad, cringeworthy and it may have been Karma.
This particular YouTuber was famously castigated by a Previously Unknown Youtuber for pitching shitcoins to their thousands of followers, to get them to buy into what would turn out to be known as Pump and Dump Schemes.
Their followers are reported to have lost thousands, if not millions of dollars. While they made millions and lived a life of extravagance and abundance, while their Followers were left broke financially and mentally.
- We only know this because a Previously Unknown YouTuber made a video, which was a collection of clips from the Famous YouTubers Videos, showing them promoting cyptocurrency coins to their followers, encouraging them to buy them. The videos also detailed the subsequent demise of the coins. These videos, showed the Famous YouTuber promoting crypto tokens, and subsequently pumping the price of those cryptocurrency tokens. Their token prices soared to new heights and then fell to near zero.
- This unknown YouTubers videos showed this happening again and again, repeatedly for years.
- This famous YouTuber was criticized and held in contempt by the YouTube Cryptocurrency Community after this video, and literally became the Industry Model of Who to Avoid, of Deceptive YouTubers.
- Predictably, the Famous YouTuber saught to have the video removed from YouTube, by suing the creator for Liable. An English Term meaning public lies, which ruin their public image.
However, in a strange twist of fate, it soon became clear that if the Famous YouTuber sued, the case would go through a legal process called Discovery.
Discovery, is a legal process, during which all evidence for and against the YouTUber would be presented in court, and reviewed not just by the opposing lawyers, but also by the judge.
- This meant that a Judge and Lawyers would have to review the Video in question, and all the videos it referenced. And a judge would decide if the Unknown YouTuber had Liabeled the Famous YouTuber.
- However, if crimes committed by the Famous YouTuber were Discovered by the judge reviewing the videos, an arrest order could be issued for the Famous YouTuber, and they would have to face the legal consequences of their behavior.
- The Famous YouTubers sudden education, by their lawyers, of this fact related to Legal Discovery, is believed by most observers to have led to the rapid withdrawal of the Famous YouTubers liable suit.
- I think most watchers on YouTube deduced, it wasn't really liable, and the Famous YouTuber didn't really want a judge to review evidence of their videos luring investors into pump and dumps, and fleecing them of the hard earned investment capitol.
- Espcially since the Previously Unknown YouTuber had the Famous YouTubers own videos to convict them with.
- The Famous YouTuber withdrawal of the lawsuit was assumed by the YouTube Cryptocurrency community to be an admission of guilt.
- The subsequent fall from grace was at first slow, but it was accelerated when the Famous YouTuber started releasing videos revealing that they had committed numerous acts of betrayal against of people very close to them.
- The Famous YouTuber subsequently admitted to a tangled web of lies, deceit, and terrible immoral behavior committted by themselves.
- This information was felt to confirm the YouTube Cryptocurrency Communities worst fears, that this person was a predator, and pathological liar, who had betrayed everyone close to them. So betraying their followers, who were strangers, would be easy.
I didn't mean to do it, I was addicted
- While some seem willing to forgive this YouTuber because they blamed their behavior on addiction to sex, alcohol and drugs.
- Other saw not a victim, but a predator, who simply preyed on people.
- I can't claim to know what lies in the heart of this individual, but there is a famous quote:
By Your Deeds Shall You Be Known.
- So in this case, I think this old saying is telling us that while you can claim to be a good guy/gal, but if your repeated behavior suggests you are actually a bad guy/gal, we should believe your behavior and not your claims, your actions and not your words, as a true reveal of who you really are...
Remember...
Fool me once, shame on you, but fool me twice, or even thrice, then shame on me.
- I have to take some responsibility for refusing to believe my eyes, ears and nose...
- if it looks like a Rat, Sounds Like a Rat, and Smells like a Rat, why do we keep calling it something else?
A Special RIng Place in Hell for Betrayers of Trust
I have always hoped there was a special place in Hell for people who murdered or robbed people after becoming their trusted mentors or confidantes.
I think this applies here.
Last words
- While we all hope people addicted to sex, drugs or alcohol, will one day redeem themselves and overcome their addiction, and live happy productive lives.
- We must be realistic and understand that they leave a trail of tears on their journey, with many beaten, battered and broken individuals on their path.
- We must all love ourselves enough, to protect ourselves from becoming one of the beaten, battered and broken people they leave lying prone, on the roadside of life, as they journey from the depths of their depravity to their possible redemption.
- While we wish a better life for all in this world, we don't to become a casualty of those who prey on others, regardless of their reasons or excuses for harming us.
- We do not forgive them, for they do know what they do, they do harm to others, again and again.
