Hi there. I’m Shulamite from Philippines. Actually, my parents got my name from the bible, it’s a story of a woman who is very loyal to his partner the Shepherd, she proves it when she rejected the wise, handsome and rich King Solomon. My father wants me to imitate that character, it’s important to be loyal to your partner. I smile and realized that my father is a romantic person.
Describing myself is not easy for me because I don’t know what should I exactly tell about me. I don’t know if you’ll be interested or not, but I’ll try it. I’m a shy type person but jolly, I’m lack of self-confidence but I’m trying to concur it, I’m sweet and caring. I love children, I like to take care of them and to play with them because it reminds me of my childhood.
For you to know me more, the question is what are my likes and dislikes? First is attitude, I like sweet, gentleman, thoughtful, joker and most of all Godly devoted. I don’t like boastful because as it says in 1 Peter 5:6, >“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time” (NWT) it’s not easy to be humble but God will help us to maintain it. Second, sports and games, I like badminton, table tennis and board games I really love to play, calculating and I love solving puzzles but I hate memorizing. The third is food, I like sweet like chocolate, and ice cream. I want pasta except for spaghetti. Fourth is hobby, I love cooking that’s why I’m chubby, I read books during my spare time, I want dancing, singing and playing musical instruments but it doesn’t mean that I’m good in doing that, I love music but music doesn’t love me, I have terrible voice I’m afraid that the mirror will have crack when I sing, but I’m trying my best, LOL.
Each chapter of my life gives me important lesson, when I’m still studying I need to live with my different relatives and work with them to support my studying, of course, my situation taught me how to be industrious, patient and flexible, when I was 18 years old, I worked as a service crew in a fast food chain, it taught me how to manage time, to work well under pressure, and smile even you’re tired. After 1 year of working there at the age of 19, I started to work as an Online English Teacher I develop my confidence, I learned about many cultures, and yes, I’m teaching my students but I’m learning too. It makes me realized that the world is too wide and I want to try interesting things that I haven’t done. I have many goals and I hope I can achieve it. I hope I’ll be a better person someday. This is not the end of my journey, I’m still building my better future with God, with my family and friends.
