Now don't panic, I haven't turned into a Jesus freak or anything. I'm talking about browsers here.
Back around 2003 everyone was using Internet Explorer by Microscum Corporation which totally sucked, but that was all there was, so like toilet paper we used it in spite of its appalling performance.

Then Firefox came out and it was a shit load better. I used it happily right up until about 2015, but then it started falling to bits. Each "update" was a step backwards, until by August 2016 when James Corbett told us to get our arses onto Steemit, Firefox was rooted.
Google are a bunch of evil zionist satan worshiping scum, and I had no desire to use their 666 browser and make it even easier for them to spy on me.
So I got into Opera. Eventually I got used to Opera and came to like it. It's a really good browser. I tried out Brave too, which is a cool concept, but prone to niggles with some sites.
In these modern times, bookmarking is the big issue. I use a laptop, a PC, and a tablet. And on each I'm using both Opera and Firefox. There are some things - like piracy - that Firefox is king for. And 12 years on a browser can't be undone. I am part fox now.
Eventually all the bookmarking issues got to me, so I started looking into ideas for syncing bookmarks and found that a Firefox Account was a pretty good solution. That meant going back to Firefox as my default browser.

And Firefox is totally cool now. With the new Quantum design of version 61 they have fully got their shit together. I really like it, and now each time something works out better when I'm surfing I feel like some sort of a geek guru.
One of the things I found when I got all my old bookmarks back today, was a few of my first ones from Steemit - from way back in Aug 2016.
Check this post out - it's kick arse awesome, and it paid out $1318. Keep in mind that is not from bots, it's from whales. Back then a good payout was THE BOMB.

Also keep in mind that most of us old timers have had our share of shit rewards too - like sub 15 cent payouts for posts that took hours to do. Here are ten of mine:

Steemit goes up and down, sort of like browsers, and a few people seem to be freaking out at the moment. Some of my favourite Steemians have spazzed out and are taking a break. Truth is, there has always been a lot of shit posts here, but hidden among them is some really cool stuff.
So keep on going - it's not bots that are going to take us down, any more than spam ever did (notice how that has nearly all gone away now?), it's quitting that will fuck us up.
No, I haven't been taking a break myself, just slacking, I've been doing a few other things and my posting hasn't exactly been thick and fast lately, but starting today I'll aim to be a bit more prolific.
