Time for a giveaway!!

I have decided to sponsor 1 new member of the #steemsilvergold group a month for Stax copper membership starting next week for March. This will give the new start an 8% stax upvote for 1 post per day for 1 month. This works out at 2 STU per upvote paying roughly 0.7sbd and 0.18SP after curation. Of course this amount changes and these are ballpark figures. For someone used to getting 5-20 cent a post, this is a rocket fueled account boasting god send.

I have been seeing some new member's putting in great effort, making decent posts, interacting with others in the group through comments, resteeming, entering contests and being really great team players. These are the members i will be picking. I was trying to think of a set of rules but i dont need any, i will be picking based on what i see.

Think that you have the power to save someone a few months of grinding out content with 1 gesture of 10 Steem. When i first started, i never seen 10 Steem for months, never mind being able to give 10 steem away. For some of the bigger guys, think back to when you started and then think about how much of a kickstart like this would have helped you and where you would be now. My plan is to delegate 250 SP to Stax and change the member every month. I need around 30-40 more SP to delegate that much and keep my voting slider so for this month i will be donating 10 steem. Starting next month, i will be delegating SP instead of paying each month so costing me nothing really. Delegating 100 SP to sponsor someone for Stax lead membership would cost your upvote around 0.03 STU. But this kind action would make all the difference for a new member that deserves it, lead membership would get a 4% Stax upvote for around 1 STU upvote per day.

Well done to you for all your efforts in the short time you have been part of the group. I hope this helps you out and takes a few steps off the ladder for you. What i would do if i were you is convert your SBD everyday into Steem until you build 10 Steem for Stax copper membership in April. This will take you around 18-19 days as you not paid out your first Stax upvote until the 8th because you get the 1st Stax upvote on the 1st. After you save up 10 Steem, use your SBD for upvoting bots like minnowbooster and smartmarket to get bigger payouts. April i would be aiming to convert all your sbd into steem and going for Stax silver membership. From there, it'll be easier and you have gained more better knowledge then i can give.

How are post payout's worked out?

The amount we see on our posts is STU which stands for Steem Token Unit. This is not the same as SBD and STEEM and it's actually the expression of the underlying value storage in the STEEM blockchain. I dont really understand it. It looks like double to me. I use a website called Steem.supply which displays your post payout after curation is taken away. For example if my post shows its going to pay me $10 STU. I half that number to 5 and from there i know that i get my rewards paid out 80% SBD and 20% SP. I can work out that 80% of 5 is 4 so i will get paid 4 sbd and the remaining 1 will become SP. Something like that. So, simply split the post $ amount in half to convert it into SBD. 80% is paid out in SBD and 20% is converted into SP when the post end's.
