About one years ago, I shared here on steemit some pics about the magpies I watched here in my area. A steemian (maybe , but I'm not sure) told me about a nursery rhyme about the number of magpies. Since that moment, every time I see one or more magpies around me, I think about that nursery rhyme (Titled "One for sorrow")
Searching the nursery rhyme on line, I found different versions and this is a modern version:
One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret,
Never to be told.
Eight for a wish,
Nine for a kiss,
Ten for a bird,
You must not miss .
I have to say that I like so much this nursery rhyme and I shared it also with my italian friends ^_^
I wrote this because today I watche a magpie, just one magpie, but I'm pretty sure there were other magpies around :P
See ya soon and steem on!
