¡Hola, buenos días! ¡Feliz sábado 24 de Octubre de este extraño año 2020. Ya hoy les traigo la entrada número 12 en esta hermosa comunidad de Diario y Fresco, y al mismo tiempo construyo mi memoria fotográfica personal, que me hará feliz revisar en años venideros, pues aún cuando la pandemia y la situación de Venezuela es bien difícil, hay cosas que veo día a día y me alegran la existencia.

Hoy en la mañana, mi esposo y yo estuvimos trasplantando dos matas de lechosa que tenía en una maceta. Ya tenían como 20 centímetros de alto y era necesario pasarlas al suelo para que crezcan y fructifiquen. Ojalá pudieran dar frutos en diciembre, para hacer nuestro tradicional dulce de lechosa, pero lo dudo, pues están pequeñas aún. Ya será para Semana Santa que aspiro poder cosechar. Aquí les muestro dos fotos, debo decirles que después de tomarlas, tuve que ponerles protección, porque el Sr. Morrocoy las vio como un manjar y de hecho trató de comerse una.
Today in the morning, my husband and I were transplanting two papaya plants that I had in a pot. They were already about 20 centimeters tall and it was necessary to move them to the ground in order for them to grow and bear fruit. Están algo feítas, pero es que tenían la raíz muy apretada en el porrón. Ahora que están en tierra podrán crecer lo que quieran.//

Tengo cuatro árboles de cerezas amarillas, también conocidas como grosellas estrelladas (Phyllantus acidus). Debido a los desórdenes climáticos, este año les cayó una plaga terrible de gusanos, que incluso les comió la corteza de sus ramas y troncos. Luego de que no tenían nada más que consumir, ya que es una plaga exclusiva de esta planta y al estar totalmente desnudas de hojas, supongo que murieron. A partir de allí y gracias al incremento de las lluvias, mis árboles volvieron a reverdecer. Hoy los estuve revisando y pude ver sus flores mínimas y una o dos cerezas en la planta madre, pero también ví la mariposa que da origen a estos nefastos gusanos verdes con amarillo y negro. No sé su nombre, pero son terribles. Ojalá no regresen. Aquí les traigo dos fotos, me costó mucho tomarlas porque vuelan muy rápido.
I have four yellow cherry trees, also known as star currants (Phyllantus acidus). Due to climatic disorders, this year a terrible plague of worms fell on them, which even ate the bark of their branches and trunks. After they had nothing else to consume, since it is an exclusive pest of this plant and being completely bare of leaves, I suppose they died. From there and thanks to the increase in rainfall, my trees turned green again. Today I was reviewing them and I could see their minimal flowers and one or two cherries on the mother plant, but I also saw the butterfly that gives rise to these nefarious green worms with yellow and black. I don't know their name, but they are terrible. I hope they don't come back. Here I bring you two photos, it took me a lot to take them because they fly very fast.
