After defeating Crota and his father Oryx the Taken King, and saving the earth from darkness, we the people of the earth have won that fight.
But the peace didn't last very long. A new mission has arisen - and it's more difficult than ever.
Am I going to make it? Am I going to save the earth? The answers are in the future.
The more people we are, the more likely we are to succeed.
So where am I? In the Orbit, ready to start the mission. Ask Xur about Sirwinchester1 .
What had happened?
Since 2 days, September 20, a new mission around the Iron Lords has come to life.
So what has changed in Destiny : Rise of Iron?
New Story Mission!
The main part is probably the story mission around Lord Saladin - the last one of the Iron Lords that survived. In 5 Missions, the story of what happened to the Iron Lords is being told.
New Raid!
After completing these missions, the new raid called "Wrath of the Machine" gets unlocked.
It was compared as being similar to "Crota's End", which means that the raid is based less on smart strategies and more on action and fun.
New Strike!
There is also one new Strike in Destiny: Rise of Iron. It's called "The Wretched Eye" was chosen to be the Nightfall Strike of the week. In this Strike, the players first have to destroy all the nodes, and then they get confronted with an Ogre that is missing his eye.
"Kovik", the main Boss and the priest of the fallen Splicers, has taken that eye and become an incredibly strong opponent.
The Team then has to finish Kovik while avoiding the attacks of the Ogre at the same time.
After completion of the strike, players receive the Rise of Iron loot.
Also, along with the Strike a new feature has been introduced: Skeleton keys! Players can use these to get specific items from chests.
New Social Space!
Currently, Destiny players have the opportunity to visit Social Spaces like the Tower and the Reef where you can buy items and more.
With the Rise of Iron update, a new spot called "Felwinters Peak" has been added. This was the former Headquarter of the Iron Lords, and is a fort located on a mountain top in the middle of lots of snow.
There will also be personalities like a Postmaster, Bounty Vendor etc. at Felwinters Peak.

With the Update, Archon's Forge - a wave-based arena mode - has been introduced to Destiny.
There, the player will be able to fight different types of bosses in a 5 minute interval.
When completing the arena, players can receive special armor as reward!
