This weekend, I tried a vegan fried chicken sandwich at one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, Monty's Good Burger!

I found Monty's in an eclectic food hall called Riverside Food Lab. Their mascot, a dog named Monty, is perched on a lit sign, looking out over the hall. The shop's design is a mashup of old-school and new-school, with old-fashioned decor and modern, stylish lighting.

The menu is full of great options, with the Monty's Good Burger as their signature cheeseburger, along with a great selection of sides and sauces. I've had their signature burger three or four times, and spotted a new menu item that I didn't recognize before: Charlie's Chicken Sandwich.

I don't know about you, but I've been craving fried chicken sandwiches lately. And Monty's Good Burger has a seriously delicious one.
It is made with the same ingredients as your classic fried chicken sandwich: bread, pickles, and mayo, but they're not like any fried chicken sandwich you've ever had before. The bread is lightly toasted, pickles are fresh, and the mayo is creamy.

The chicken itself is crispy and juicy, and the flavor is perfectly complemented by the bread and pickles. The mayo really adds a nice touch to the whole thing. The fries are also a good match for the sandwich, and the whole thing comes together to make for an awesome combo.
My meal came with two sauces: sriracha aioli and house spread. The sriracha aioli was sweet and spicy, while the house spread was a tangy and creamy sauce. Both were perfect complements for the sandwich and I enjoyed them both immensely.
All in all, the fried chicken sandwich is an amazing combination of flavors and textures that makes for an unforgettable experience.
If you ever visit Monty's Good Burger in Los Angeles, be sure to order their fried chicken sandwich! You won't regret it.
